Brent Smith has been in construction for over 20 years. After working for an oil
drilling company domestically, he managed operations in the Middle East for a
time. Since starting his own business in 2012, he has built over a dozen custom
homes and overseen numerous remodels. With a team with over 25 years combined experience in Design, Drafting and Drilling, Moving Forward Homes has been able

Our Process
- Do you have a Lot? We can connect you to a realtor for your search.
- Congratulations!! You're a new owner of your home base. You can now start the processes of designing your home. Meet with our drafter to create the plan of your dreams. Your plan will consist of exterior elevations, interior layout, window placements, door heights and much more...Once your plan is finalized, you will need to secure your build funding. Once you are ready to start the vertical build of your home, we follow a simple process.
- Contract your build with Moving Forward Homes.
- Submit for engineered plans, surveying and soils testing.
- Meet with design team to put all your ideas together and create a design plan.
- Create a budget using your creative ideas and needs. You set the build amount; we help you stay within those guidelines.
- Bid all standard finishes and upgrades. This helps our team understand what the total budget on your build will be.
- Finalize choices and budgets. We are then ready to permit your home.
- Submit all plans to building dept and county for permits.
- IT's TIME TO BUILD!!!-Our team will update you along the process. What stage of the build process we are in.
- Our team will meet with inspectors along the process to ensure your home is built to code.
- Once your build is finished, we get final inspections for CO
